There's nothing like being dedicated to your health, well-being and fitness only to find out someone has been secretly creepin' on you the whole time. Not only is it a wild violation of your privacy, but just about the D-baggiest thing you could do, in general.

It turns out, a woman using the bathroom at Anytime Fitness gym in Van Buren Township (just east of Ypsilanti and west of Detroit Metro Airport) was sitting there... looks up to find the ceiling looked weird -- like a tile had been slightly moved. Well, that's when she realized what was happening.

Keep in mind, this is happening in the women's restroom. It was a cell phone camera aimed down at the stall. So, the woman grabs the phone and takes it to the manager with obvious shock & concern. When she got the vibe the employee/manager was involved -- she took the phone back, according to WDIV-TV.

What happened next surely seems like a guilty conscience at play. The manager, or gym employee, took off... ran out the back of the building while the woman using the gym called police.

Isn't it illegal to record someone without consent in Michigan?

This is highly illegal activity. When an individual has the expectation of privacy (and that's certainly in a bathroom), there can be serious consequences. Of course, there's an investigation underway.

Next time you head to a private room of any kind, especially a bathroom, look up.
