Grand Blanc to Get New Restaurant. First of its Kind in Genesee County

A fast casual chain has chosen Grand Blanc for its first standalone location.

New fast casual chain coming to Grand Blanc

Lovers of chicken tenders, wings, fried pickles, tasty desserts, chicken sandwiches and wraps can celebrate a new outlet coming to Grand Blanc.

Let's welcome to the neighborhood, Slim Chickens.

According to ABC 12, this will be the first standalone location for the restaurant in Michigan.

Two other locations exist within the food courts at CMU in Mt Pleasant and Oakland University in Rochester.

The chain got its start 20 years ago in the south and now has over 200 locations around the United States.

They're known for all things chicken, even 15 homemade sauces. Plus, chicken & waffles.

It'll be great to have another option for picking up lunch or dinner for the whole family after a Bobcats home game, too.

Where will Slim Chickens be located in Grand Blanc?

There's a wedge of property between Sunset Village Apartments and McDonald's along Saginaw Road near Holly Road where the new restaurant will be located.

Of course, traffic can get nutty in that area after Grand Blanc High School events or rush hour.

But, if we've learned how to safely navigate the Kroger parking lot, just down the street, we'll be just fine.
