1 Last Construction Project for Season Means Delays in Grand Blanc, MI
Grand Blanc area drivers have endured a few major road projects this year. Center Road from Hill to Saginaw Road was fixed. Grand Blanc Road is still being widened from Dort Highway to Porter Road.
Now, one last project of the 2023 construction season is underway.
Saginaw Road Construction
Genesee County Road Commission's last project for the season, in Grand Blanc started on Monday.
Saginaw Road will be widened from McCandlish Road up to Charing Cross Drive at Kirkridge.
Two-way traffic will be maintained with one lane in each direction. If you don't live or work in that stretch, avoid it during rush hour to save time.
Is there a detour for Saginaw Road Grand Blanc construction?
Since the road isn't fully closed, you don't have to take a detour. That said, it'll save you time if you take one of these routes.
- Coming from Saginaw Road south of McCandlish
- Turn left on McCandlish. Turn right on Holly Road to meet Saginaw Road
- Or, Turn right on McCandlish. Turn left on Vassar. Left again on Perry Road to meet Saginaw Road.
- Coming from Saginaw Road north of Holly Road
- Turn Right on Holly. Turn left on McCandlish to meet Saginaw Road
- Or, Turn left on Perry. Turn right on Vassar. Turn right again on McCandlish to meet Saginaw Road.
Genesee County Road Commission expects the widening project to be completed by the end of October.
