Let's give "Running On Empty" a rest today and go back to a lesser known track you may recall.  "Rock Me On The Water" from his first release in 1971 got some attention from the mellow hippie leftovers (or wanna-be's, like me - ha) that were digging on folk rock.  Browne was hanging around with people like Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt and The Eagles, who were all coming into their own then, with some, more or less, hanging on to the 60's anti establishment thing with a new, more mature agenda.  Yep, No Nukes was coming soon!  Browne is still a highly respected figure in music today and is still working.  He's doing a show at Devos Hall in Grand Rapids tomorrow night.  Beyond nuclear man.  Peace.
