Lapeer County E-911 Central Dispatch is looking to hire two communications specialists, better known as dispatchers.

MLive says a description of the position says the employees would be responsible for taking emergency 911 calls and non-emergency calls  while also dispatching police, fire and ambulance services.

Those interested in applying should have "proficient knowledge of computer operating systems" which will help during the training process. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must complete the Law Enforcement Information Network operator training within the first six months of their hire.

Pay for the 40 hours a week jobs starts at $15.26 an hour and require the ability to work varying shifts. The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, November 5th. For more information ,call the Lapeer County E-911 Central Dispatch administration at (810) 667-0217.
