Lapeer County Community Mental Health now offers home based counseling and case management services to Lapeer residents over the age of 60 who are in need. The program is for older adults who are living in their own home or that of their family. Lapeer CMH can work with any caregiver who is over the age of 60 and who may be overwhelmed with the care of a person with dementia.

Lapeer CMH is willing to come out to speak to any groups about the warning signs of older adults for mild to moderate mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, grief, and loneliness, or who may need some help finding resources and social connections in the community.
If you belong to a group that meets in Lapeer County, consider inviting Lapeer CMH to come and speak about this exciting new program. Call 810-245-8781 to make a referral or to set up a speaking engagement.

The services are free as they are grant funded.
If you are concerned about an older adult who lives in Lapeer County, call and Lapeer CMH will contact them to offer services.
