Lapeer County Teen Facing Child Pornography Charges

A 17-year-old Lapeer male is facing countless child pornography charges.

According to ABC 12, Nicholas Austin Jansen of Mayville, is facing 25 counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and 25 counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

I am guessing someone tipped off authorities, because Jansen was arrested after the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit learned about his alleged activity. Upon his arrest, police confiscated electronic devices from his home.

No additional information is available in regards to this case at this time, other than the fact that Jansen has been arraigned. If for some reason you have additional information on Nicholas Austin Jansen, that could help police, please reach out through the proper channels.

These types of stories are very upsetting. I am always glad to see a creep get busted, but we all know there are plenty more where this guy came from. Like I said, I am guessing someone tipped off authorities, and if that is the case, bravo to that person. Jansen very well could have been busted as well thanks to online surveillance. Either way, another one bites the dust thankfully.

The age of the people involved in his alleged pics or videos, is not relevant as far as I am concerned. A minor is a minor. This guy has no business having pornographic pictures of ANYONE who is underage.
