Local Family Wants Answers After Sons Memorial Tree Is Chopped In Half

A Mount Morris Township family wants answers after their sons memorial tree was cut in half.

Christopher Orr was only 7-years-old when he passed away due to brain cancer. Christopher was a student at Buell Elementary school and that is where a memorial tree in his honor was planted in 1998. Christopher's parents recently discovered, someone chopped down the top half of the tree. Presumably to use as a Christmas tree.

There is a wooden sign right next to the tree noting its importance. What kind of person does this? I certainly hope the Orr family finds out.
