Take a Look Inside Lansing’s Infamous University of Michigan-Themed House
I know I talk about real estate a lot. Like, a lot a lot.
Typically, I'll be talking about castle-like houses, old Victorian homes, and other older real estate. But, I'm not shy about talking about those truly unique homes either. And this home for sale in Lansing definitely fits the bill for uniqueness.
U of M House in Lansing
If you've ever driven through the south Lansing area along Cavanagh road, you've probably noticed this maize and blue house before. And I specifically mention maize and blue because this house is wholly dedicated to the University of Michigan. Even the rock out front is emblazoned with the U of M emblem.
Here's the thing, if you're a huge U of M fan, this house is currently for sale. It's got three bedrooms and one bathroom, but that's not the big draw. I know...you want to see the inside.
"The Big Howse", as it's called, is currently listed on Facebook Marketplace for $120,000, and here are the only pictures (so far) that come with the listing.
Overall, the house definitely follows the Maize and Blue theme. But as you can see, there's also a very patriotic, America-themed room in what appears to be a three-season room.
I'm sure it would be cool for a true U of M fan to buy the house and live there. However, being that it's in Lansing, I don't think it would be a bad idea for someone to purchase the house and turn it into a Spartan-themed house instead.
No hate against U of M, but a Spartan-themed house would be way more appropriate for the area we're in. What are your thoughts? Message us with the station app. And if you really dig looking at real estate, you've got to check out some other houses on sale in the galleries below.
