The Michigan Dept. of Transportation is warning deer hunters headed up north this weekend that while the majority of road work is nearing completion, there is still some going on that could cause delays.

MDOT says the delays could come in these areas near the Zilwaukee Bridge in Saginaw County:

  • Southbound I-75 currently has two lanes open.
  • Northbound I-75 traffic is still being rerouted to I-675.
  • The Adams Street ramp to southbound I-75 remains closed.
  • The southbound I-75 ramp to M-13 remains closed.

Traffic delays in these areas are expected and motorists are being advise to allow extra time. MDOT also says choosing an alternate route, which may require driving additional miles, could save time overall.

Motorists heading up north from the Flint areas are advised to use I-69 to northbound US-127 or northbound M-15 before merging back with I-75.
