If you had plans to get married in the spring or maybe this summer, more than likely, you got screwed thanks to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to WXYZ, the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester is helping couples get married while still maintaining safety precautions during the pandemic. It's what they're calling mini-weddings which is a better option than postponing or canceling altogether that's for sure. The Royal Park Hotel came up with the idea for engaged couples who want to be married and won’t let the pandemic get in the way of that.

Their mini-wedding package starts at $1,800 and includes:
Two-hour rental
Wedding officiant
8 guests
Photographer
Champagne Toast
Wedding Cake
Flowers
Overnight stay for the bride and groom

According to a couple that recently did the mini wedding thing, "It’s kind of like the Michigan version of Las Vegas where you elope."

I got engaged at the end of December last year with hopes of tying the knot this summer. Obviously that's not going to happen even though we weren't planning anything big. We were hoping to do something super small and then take a trip to somewhere tropical. The whole thing is pretty much impossible to do with everything going on so we'll just wait until next year or whenever life returns to normal.
