New Boil Water Advisory Adds To Flint’s Water Problems
As if Flint didn't have enough problems to deal with when it comes to drinking water, now there is a new boil filtered water advisory for parts of the city.
The advisory is focused around a few blocks where Pershing St and Court Street meet.
Crews were working in the area, trying to replace a water main break that occurred earlier. The crews noticed more problems with the infrastructure, and issued the advisory until the work could be completed. The map below shows the area affected by the boil water advisory.
The advisory emphasizes that the water should be boiled after it has already been filtered.
The city will release new information when it is safe to drink the water without boiling it first.
This will probably become a recurring theme in Flint. As crews dig up the ancient infrastructure, they are more likely to find problems that nobody knew existed.
