A land conservancy is hoping to raise money to preserve land from development in five northern Michigan counties. The Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy is kicking off the public phase of A Campaign For Generations, a $71 million campaign to protect lake and river shoreline parcels, wetlands, forests and fruit orchards. The conservancy says urgent action is needed as the popular Traverse City resort area attracts more commercial and residential growth. GTRLC has raised $53 million so far and hopes to raise an additional $18 million with help from the public. To find out how you can help click here. Watch 'A Campaign For Generations' here.
