You know the 'Old Yamaha' that is mounted on the Ray C's Harley Davidson sign on M-21? Today marks the end of a Lapeer landmark -- they are taking the old girl down!

There will be ceremony this morning to bring down the 'Old Yamaha' that overlooked M-21 for 44-years.

Ray C's Harley Davidson told US103.1: "The Old Yamaha Motorcycle will be coming down Friday morning with ceremony.  Wife of owner (Clayton Bassner) of Clayt's Cycle Center, later known as Lapeer Sports Center who put the bike up, Onalie Williams will be present and would like to be joined by family and friends. Were you around then, we'd love to hear from you Bring pictures, laughter and smiles Donuts and coffee will be served."

After being removed, the bike will be incased and displayed for all to see.

The ceremony will begin at 10 AM today (Friday, March 29.) Say 'so long' to a Lapeer County landmark!
