The Outlaws are loose today!  Unlike their more famous 1970's rivalries The Allman Brothers or Lyrnyrd Skynyrd, these guys only had one or two big albums; but big they were - and certain tracks are still requested nearly 30 years later...

Old Tampa, Florida band The Outlaws will shine up their axes for today's Vinyl Vault, the band that did Green Grass and High Tides and Ghost Riders in the Sky.  They were known right from the starting gate in 1975 with the debut, at first, getting attention with the single There Goes Another Love Song (today's track), followed by some others...

Many Outlaws fans consider the 1980 Ghost Riders album to be the last true Outlaws album - one that became a huge hit for the band and even surpassed Green Grass & High Tides in popularity.  I usually dig this one out during Halloween time due to it's eerily spooky content: A cowboy sees many cattle thundering across the sky, being chased by the spirits of damned cowboys.  ...
