Former members of Dio, Whitesnake and the Scorpions will take part in a four-day, two-city music event, with special shows focusing on the music of Cream and the Scorpions.
Like a drifter, he was born to release live Whitesnake records, so here he goes again: Just a little over two months after announcing Whitesnake's upcoming 'Made in Japan' concert LP, David Coverdale has revealed plans to follow it up with another one, 'Made in Britain.'
Whitesnake has packaged hits and outtakes, along with rare acoustic versions of popular songs on 'Made in Japan,' a live CD/DVD to be made available on April 23. The band announced that the Oct. 11, 2011 show from the Loud Park festival at the Saitama Super Arena will be packaged in its entirety. Previously fans could only see and hear highlights on Japanese television.
The ever-revolving lineup of Whitesnake has seen yet another change. Following the departure of drummer Brian Tichy earlier this month, the band has announced that his replacement is Tommy Aldrige, who will be making his third stint behind the skins.
It’s not often fans get to see the softer side of David Coverdale. The high-octane vocalist and front man of Whitesnake spends a lot more time belting out metal classics like ‘Still of the Night’ than he does talking about kittens and rainbows. But in an interesting new video clip, the rock legend is interviewed by his granddaughter, revealing that his famous shaggy blonde mane hides a gentle fami
If you just had a meal you might want to wait a few minutes before checking this story out. A Whitesnake fan is suing the Newport (Wales) council after claiming to have missed the beginning of one of the band’s gigs. Why? Because she slipped over vomit.
David Coverdale's notorious Led Zeppelin inspirations were never more prominent than on today's Vault track. If Plant sang it, it would BE Led Zeppelin. Well, seemingly anyway. Maybe it did go over the line but it's still great, it's still Coverdale and it's pure Whitesnake at their Zeppish best...
I loved this band when they first got going in the 1970's. WAY different from the quasi hair metal Coverdale and company churned out during the 1980's. The early stuff was real. Blues rock baby. If you were an early fan too, be aware of the new Box 'O' Snakes 1978-1982 at your favorite on-line retailer tomorrow, (11/15)...
Former Deep Purple boy David Coverdale emerged with his own band Whitesnake during the later 1970's and broke out in a big way in the late 1980's, taking full advantage of the hair debacle going on then. The self titled Whitesnake album in 1987 was his career peak, and that's the one we're into today with Crying In The Rain...
The word "inspired" used for respectful purposes. "Complete rip off" would make more sense for Slow 'n' Easy. Coverdale took so much to the jaw over this blatant use of Zeppelinisms that I don't think his credibility was ever the same...
Out just this week are two of David Coverdale's finest sets dating back to the post Deep Purple days when his idea for Whitesnake was still in the embryo stage. The debut from 1976 ironically titled 'Whitesnake', and it's follow up 'Northwinds', from 1978...
Tomorrow, June 7th, "Live At Donington" hits your fave music retailer via DVD and CD. This performance showcased David Coverdale and band in 1990 while still in their peak, including many fan faves. Very reasonably priced too, thanks Dave...
