The Detroit Tigers had their 12 game winning streak snapped last night in a 6 – 1 loss to the Oakland Athletics.  The loss coupled with a Cleveland Indian loss reduced the Tigers magic number to one.  The Tigers could clinch their first division title since 1987, and win the Central Division for the first time since joining the division in 1998.  Best of all … It could all happen before the Tigers win again.  If the Indians lose Friday at Minnesota, the Tigers will clinch before the final out of their game against the Athletics.  Doug Fister takes the mound for Detroit today in Oakland.  GO TIGERS!
