Jose Iglesias stepped up to the plate and hit an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to end a tied game and give the Detroit Tigers a 5-4 victory over Seattle on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers took on the Mariners and the best pitcher in American League James Paxton, who in his last outing threw a no-hitter against the Toronto Blue Jays. Detroit's lineup was made up of a lot of unknown names filling in for Miguel Cabrera, Nicholas Castellanos, Leonys Martin and Jeimer Candelario. The pieced together batting order had Pete Kozma batting second, James McCann in the cleanup spot and Niko Goodrum in right field.

On the mound starting for the Tigers was reliever Blaine Hardy who allowed two runs and eight hits in 4 1/3 innings in his first major league start.

Up next tonight the Tigers open up a three game home series with the first place Cleveland Indians.
