Virginia Tech Locks Down Campus; Police Officer Shot
Virginia Tech is under lock down again today after an officer was shot on campus, reports ABC News. All students and staff were told to stay inside and lock the doors. Police believe the shooting occurred after a traffic stop.
Virginia Tech had to lock down their campus on Aug. 4th after a reported gunman was seen.
ABC News reports: "The shooting came the same day as Virginia Tech was appealing a $55,000 fine by the U.S. Education Department in connection with the university's response to the 2007 rampage, when a student gunman killed 32 students and faculty and then shot himself."
