Some kids are taking the safe route when it comes to shopping for their mom.  Mother's Day is just around the corner -- on May 8th -- and 35-percent of respondents in a new Buy.com poll plan to ask their mom what she wants for her special day.  The Internet will be a helpful tool for roughly one out of four of Mother's Day shoppers, as 23-percent are hoping to find gift ideas through an online search.  A number of people are being more generous with mom this year.  Twenty-two-percent are planning to spend at least 25-dollars more than they did on their Mother's Day present in 2010.  And mom outranks dad in the gift department.  A third of those polled admit they'll be shelling out more cash for Mother's Day than they will for Father's Day.
