What’s The Difference Between A Sugar Bush & A Sugar Shack?

Chatfield School invites the entire community to their Maple Syrup Extravaganza on Saturday (3/28) from 9 AM to 12 PM. This program will be at the Willows Ecology Center located on the grounds of Chatfield School . Join the students and see how maple syrup is made at the Willows. You’re invited to participate in every step of the syrup production process from how to identify and tap a maple tree to cutting firewood with a crosscut saw to taking a tour of the sugar bush. Fresh maple syrup, squash waffles and hickory nut broth samples will be on hand. Admission is free. Chatfield School is located at 231 Lake Forest Drive in Lapeer.
