The holiday spirit is ready to happen in downtown Lapeer this Friday, November 30th and Saturday December 1st with the annual WinterFest in Historic Downtown Lapeer. This event is brought to you by Lapeer Main Street DDA and the Lapeer Area Chamber of Commerce.
Things get under way on at noon on Friday, stop by the Winter Market at the farmer’s market pavilion staring at 2 pm and going until 8 p.m. and on Saturday 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Fun for boys and girls begins at 4 p.m. Friday with the WinterFest Treat Walk, kids pick up a bag and punch card at Gallery 194 and are then visit participating downtown businesses to get their card punched and enjoy special treats. Bring your card back to Gallery 194 and enter a drawing for gift baskets being given away filled with goodies from downtown businesses. Enjoy free live music at Gallery 194.
The lighting of the Christmas tree at the historic courthouse takes place at 6 p.m. Friday.
"A Little Piece of Heaven" will be presented by The Lapeer Community Theater at The PIX showtime is 7:30 p.m.
WinterFest continues on Saturday with the annual Christmas parade that starts at 11 a.m. and the theme this year is a Charlie Brown Christmas. After the parade kids will be able to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at their house in front of the farmers market.
For all you big kids it's the WinterFest Pub Crawl on Saturday is on from 12 noon through 6 p.m.
