You just might get your chance to vote on the November ballot!  Activists for the legalization of marijuana are intending to run ballot initiatives to legalize or decriminalize small amounts of marijuana for personal use in the cities of Saginaw, Mt. Pleasant, East Lansing, and a number of other cities in the state. A local trial attorney, Bernard Jocuns, intends to begin circulating a petition to change the City of Lapeer's charter to allow the use, possession, or transport of one ounce of marijuana by persons age 21 or over, for recreational use on private property. Criminal penalties would be eliminated and violators could face fines from $25 to $50.

So, how will you vote if given the opportunity?
