10-Year-Old Boy Calls 911 To Avoid Bed Time [AUDIO]

YouTube

“It’s not fair!” “You’re being mean!” The list of things kids scream at their parents when they don’t get their way is endless. The mother of a 10-year-old boy from Brockton, Massachusetts told her son to go to bed Wednesday night. Because there was no school the next day, the boy thought that the 8:00pm bedtime was to early and unfair which prompted him to take matters into his own hands.

The boy, Dan Davis, threatened to call the police for help. As he stormed down the hallway toward his bedroom, the fourth grader picked up the phone and dialed 911. He hung up the phone, but not before the call connected to local police.

Dan got under his covers, still sulking about his situation when the phone rang. It was the police dispatcher at 911. Following protocol, she called back to see what was going on. Listen to the phone call here:

The officer showed up and the mother asked him to speak with the boy about the importance of 911, and why people shouldn’t abuse it.

No charges were filed, but Dan was grounded for two weeks following the incident. However, because of the visit from the police office, he did end up staying up past his 8:00pm bedtime that night. So… mission accomplished?
