Family Literacy Center In Lapeer Presents 2014 Camel Races

Help the Family Literacy Center in Lapeer raise funds to support our local literacy programs. Friday (10/17) night it’s the 15th annual Camel Races at the Lapeer Center Building with the doors opening at 5:30 pm. You won’t be seeing live camels inside the Center Building. What you will see are wooden camels creatively decorated by area sponsors "race" to the toss of the big, fuzzy dice. Guests bet on their favorites and can win at the races, raffles and door prizes.
