Circuit Court Judge Byron Konschuh is going back to the courtroom this Friday, but it won't be in Lapeer. They will appear before the 66th District Court Judge Terrance Dignan in Shiawassee County. Konschuh faced arraignment of five counts of embezzlement by a public official of more than $50. The Chief Circuit Court Judge, Nick O. Holowka, placed Konschuh on administrative leave until the issue is resolved. Everything centers around checks that came from a company called BounceBack and the Law Enforcement Officers Regional Training Consortium, while he was serving as the Lapeer County Prosecutor. The checks being investigated total roughly $4,000 during that four-year period. The actual trial could be six to seven months away.
