Numerous Stars Contributing To Bob Dylan Tribute Album

Bob Dylan is receiving a salute in the form of a new tribute album.  Pete Townshend, Jackson Browne, Joan Baez, Bryan Ferry, and Carly Simon are among the 80 artists contributing to the 75-track, four-disc set. The album features songs Dylan either wrote or made his own.  Tracks include Sting's version of "Girl from the North Country," Seal and Jeff Beck collaborating on "Like A Rolling Stone," Eric Burdon's cover of "Gotta Serve Somebody," and Ziggy Marley's take on "Blowin' in the Wind."  Others on board for the project include Patti Smith, Paul Rodgers, Pete Seeger, Neil Finn, and Mark Knopfler.  Stars ranging from Miley Cyrus to Queens of the Stone Age to Dierks Bentley to Adele add songs as well.  Amnesty International is among those behind the project, which also honors the human rights organization.  "Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International" will be available on January 24th.
