Paul McCartney is on board for next month's Grammy Awards.  The former Beatle is among the newly announced performers for the upcoming event. Paul will join a list of previously announced performers including Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean with Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars, and Nicki Minaj.  LL Cool J is on board to host the ceremony.  The 54th annual Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and air live on CBS on February 12th.

McCartney is one of this year's Grammy nominees.  His album "Band On The Run (Paul McCartney Archive Collection - Deluxe Edition)" is a contender for Best Historical Album. He's also the 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year, a Recording Academy honor that recognizes artists' musical achievements along with their charitable efforts.  McCartney will receive an all star concert salute at the 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year gala, taking place two days before the Grammy Awards.
