Four citations were issued this week to SeaWorld San Diego for allegedly failing to train employees how to “safely interact with killer whales.” The citations come after an inspection of SeaWorld San Diego by Cal/OSHA following a complaint. In 2012 an OSHA administrative law judge cited SeaWorld for two violations in the death of a trainer who was drowned by Tilikum, a 33-year old bull orca living in captivity at SeaWorld Orlando.
