First-Of-Its-Kind Case Set To Begin Next Month at Lapeer County Courthouse
Jury selection in a first-of-its-kind case is expected to begin on May 12 in Lapeer at the courthouse. A Metamora Township husband and wife are both charged with second-degree murder in the July 23 dog-mauling death of a 46-year old jogger. The couple’s second-degree murder charge for the actions of their dogs is a rare, first-of-its-kind charge here in Michigan.
