I hate to be the bearer of bad news but disco queen Donna Summer has died after a battle with cancer.  She was 63 years old.  Were you a rocker or into the disco thing?  I was a rocker for sure but still loved going to the clubs to watch the dancers and drink free beer.  Hey, the perks of rock radio in the early 80′s, you know.

Insiders say she wanted to keep the disease quiet, and a friend said that as recently as two weeks ago, Summer seemed okay and was even finishing up work on a new album.

The five-time Grammy winner shot to fame in the 1970s with songs like ‘Love to Love You Baby,’ ‘Hot Stuff’ and ‘Bad Girls,’ and continued her reign on radio airwaves into the ’80s with hits including ‘She Works Hard for the Money’ and ‘This Time I Know It’s for Real.’

Summer was also the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach No. 1 on the US Billboard chart.

If you took Kim Kardashian’s word for it, and bought a pair of Skechers to get a curvy backside and great legs, The Federal Trade Commission says that you have a refund coming!

The Federal Trade Commission has determined that Skechers made “unfounded claims that Shape-Ups would help people lose weight, and strengthen and tone their buttocks, legs and abdominal muscles” it said in a pressrelease. The commission has reached an agreement with the shoe maker that will pay an estimated  40 million dollars in refunds to people who purchased shoes after August 1, 2008.

It’s almost lunch time. Maybe you are planning dinner. Are you up for the ‘Boss Bacon Burger’? You have to watch the video to appreciate this culinary monstrosity!

It starts with a super-sized patty made from ground beef, pork and bacon. This patty is stuffed with bacon, slathered with a cheesy bacon sauce and a Jack Daniels root beer sauce, and then topped with hundreds of strips of bacon. What do you serve this masterpiece on? A custom made bacon bun, of course! This nutritional nightmare contains 9,381 grams of fat and 109,165 calories. Based on a 2,000 calorie a day average, that is enough calories to sustain a person for 54 and a half days! I have not done this enough justice. Watch the video!

To paraphrase one of his more famous solo songs, “All he’s got is a photograph,” and now, Ringo Starr doesn’t even have quite as many of those anymore, having apparently lost some important Beatles photographs.

Always something of an amateur photographer from as far back as the early Beatles days, Ringo had quite a collection of candid and unique shots of his band mates — behind the scenes, backstage, at home, at work, at play as it were. For whatever reason, Starr never compiled these photos in any public manner. Now, it appears, that chance may never come.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Ringo says “I don’t know where they are. I wish I did.” Though he has hopes that they will surface one day he adds, “There’s been several moves and things happen.” Don’t give up on the man! This kind of discovery of misplaced items has happened before. “I found a box on my shelf and was like, ‘What the hell is that?’” Starr recalled “And it was full of the postcards.”

That discovery became a much loved book Starr published in 2004. ‘Postcards From The Boys’ was a collection of correspondence between Ringo and his band mates over the years which made for a very interesting peek into a very casual and private side of Beatle relations.

“At the time we were moving house yet again, and the secretary I had at the time decided to put them all in envelopes and put them in a shoebox. That’s how I found out I still had them.” he said of those postcards. “So you never know, one day I may find another box with all my photos.”

One Converse fan has taken his fascination for the sneaker to the next level. In the photograph above you can see that rather than wear a pair of Chuck Taylor shoes, this man has decided to have them tattooed on his feet.

This particular tattoo seemed a little bit odd to us, so we set out to try to find out more about the elusive feet with the Converse tattoo. In doing so, we found this video by a man named Ernesto Nave, which features someone named Troy having a pair of Converse All-Stars, almost identical to those in the photograph, tattooed on his feet.

The production of the video lends us to believe that this crazy stunt was put together as a spec ad for the Converse advertising campaign, marketing their line of customizable Chuck Taylor shoes.

The commercial wasn’t a bad idea. We’re almost positive that Ernesto was excited about his production, and Troy for his pending foot fame. Unfortunately since this is the first we’re seeing of it, we don’t think it worked out quite like they had planned.

Get your tissues out for this one. Although originally posted two months ago on GodTube, Lacey Buchanan’s video about her son Christian went viral over this past Mother’s Day weekend. Recorded on her iPhone, and with her baby boy in her arms, Buchanan uses note cards to tell her inspiring story.

With songs praising Jesus playing in the background, Buchanan begins her story of how she was excited on hearing of her pregnancy. But as months passed, doctors informed the parents there was something wrong with her baby. When Christian was born, things got worse. The boy was born with an extremely rare condition called Tessier clefts, which meant that Christian was unable to fully close his mouth — and even more saddening, his eyes never even formed.

Blind from birth, Buchanan was used to stares and whispers behind her back about her baby whenever they took Christian out. In one of the flashcards, Buchanan mentions one girl even told her to abort the baby. Buchanan refused. And now, a year later, Buchanan is only proud of her son, and despite his ‘condition,’ this mother is only happy to give him the unconditional love he deserves.

Two years ago, Poison frontman Bret Michaels suffered a life-threatening brain hemorrhage, and he credits the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz. for delivering him from death’s doorstep.

Since then, he’s donated a music room to the institute, and now he’s also helping celebrate the hospital’s 50th anniversary.

A video Michaels did for the occasion is part of “The 50 Years, 50 Faces Project,” which features clips of Barrow patients and staff recounting stories of the hospital’s impact on them. In Bret’s video, he sends his utmost thanks to “my good friends [at Barrow] for saving my life.”

It’s not surprising he’d lend his voice to the project — Michaels has often publicly expressed his gratitude to Barrow, and last fall he even donated a music room (dubbed the Bret Michaels Hospitality and Music Room) that has listening stations, relaxation areas, video monitors, comfortable sofas and a refreshment area for patients’ families.

“If they’re here all night, searching their soul, a lot of people that are going through a very devastating time in their life,” he said at the time. “I want to give something back to the hospital that helped save my life.”

Michaels has done other work for Barrows as well. Last spring he performed at the Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix and auctioned off a dinner for 10 people at his home, with the proceeds going toward the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center, which is also located at the neurological institute.

When he isn’t paying it forward, Bret is working on his new solo album, ‘Get Your Rock On,’ and of course prepping with his Poison bandmates for their upcoming summer tour with Def Leppard.

There have only been 15 unassisted triple plays in Major League history. This makes the instant inning killer the rarest play in all of baseball.

Although they don’t keep track of such things, it stands to reason there have been more unassisted triple plays than that on the Little League level — just given the sheer number of games played.

Nevertheless, you could watch a lot of Little League and never see a triple play, let alone an unassisted one. But we’re showing you one right here.

That heads-up shortstop is six-year-old Ross Bernath of Sandy Springs, GA. The recording was actually shot by the father of opposing player “James,” who couldn’t make it back to third base in time to prevent the rare play.

The clip went viral pretty quickly and was featured as ESPN SportsCenter’s number one play of the day on Wednesday. This thrilled little Ross, who watches SportsCenter regularly.

“He saw it this morning on ESPN and he’s been smiling ear to ear,” Ross’ dad told the Atlanta Journal Constitution. “He’s pretty pumped.”

Obstacle Run.;’ don’t let the term ‘hardcore’ scare you off — the competition isn’t ‘hardcore’ the obstacles are what make it ‘hardcore.’

Yes, the guys at Mud Factor will be providing you with a ‘time chip’ to track your time, that is just for you to see your accomplishment, as well as competing among friends if you wish.

The accomplishment here … to just finish the obstacle course, you will receive a medal just for finishing.

The obstacle course will be full of rope climbs, mud pits, steep inclines and more — if you’re not in shape, take your time, there will be a ton of walkers to join. Just remember your own limitations!

Those of you who have waited patiently for the next glimpse into the lives of Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed will not have to wait much longer. A&E announced that the eighth season of ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’ will premiere on May 28 at 9PM with a special one-hour episode.

Last season ended with Tweed finally making an honest man out of the Kiss bassist after 28 years together. The final two episodes, which dealt with the engagement and the wedding, were the show’s two highest-rated broadcasts ever, averaging 1.8 million viewers. The upcoming season looks to build upon the show’s new success by showing if/how marriage has affected their lives.

One of the main plots will involve Shannon’s desire to adopt a child despite the objections of Gene and their children, Nick and Sophie. The show will also take viewers on their honeymoon in Africa, tackle Gene’s first tour as a married man and watch Nick as he comes to terms with how similar he is to his father.

For a couple years in the mid-2000′s the Motorola Razr was THE phone to have. Since then, that particular model’s gone dark, but in 2011-2012, it attempted a comeback with a couple of spots that highlighted how thin it is.

Though the spot you’re about to see is from late January and far from sexy, it did give us a glimpse of a hot redhead. Truth is redheads are the most polarizing hair color out there, you either hate ‘em or love ‘em. Those that love ‘em are fanatical.

Ali’s a model and actress in her mid-20s who originally hails from Saint Augustine, Florida then moved to Orlando, Florida to work at Disney World after graduating from Florida State’s theater program. The premiere party for ‘Dark Shadows‘, the new Johhny Depp movie was Monday night Graumann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, but it looks like the movie might have taken a back seat to the all star jam that took place afterwards! Johnny Depp, who has played with having a band in the past, took the stage with Alice Cooper. Later in the set, Alice and Johhny were joined by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. The foursome delivered blistering versions of ‘Schools Out’, Pink Floyd’s ‘Another Brick Part 2′, and the Beatles ‘Come Together’. Watch a short snippet below.

RYNO Motors has designed a self-balancing, one-wheel, electric scooter that looks like it crawled right off the cutting room floor of the a Blade Runner movie. This twisted little spectacle is one part transportation genius, and another part circus sideshow. Watch this video and you’ll see the only thing missing is a dancing bear. Harrison Ford is also missing, which is surprising, because he’ll star in just about anything these day.

Scheduled to begin production in January 2013, RYNO Motors believes that this one-wheeled beast is poised to create real fundamental change once it hits the streets. However, at this time we are still uncertain. It definitely looks dangerous but it doesn’t appear to have enough “die with your boots on” appeal to risk both life and limb on a single wheel.

That said, the monkeys at the circus are going to look pretty badass revving around on these micro-cycles.

Coleman Shannon was born without a right hand and forearm, due to a medical condition called Amelia, but that hasn’t slowed him down from chasing his baseball dreams. In fact, the 14-year-old left-handed pitcher recently threw a no-hitter in a Johnsonville, SC little league game.

“The other night, when he pitched the no-hitter, that was a tearful moment,” Kyle Daniel, one of Shannon’s proud coaches, said. “When you think about what he’s been through and how much it’s taken him just to get to this point, when he went out and threw the no-hitter, it was just a cheerful time for everyone.”

Shannon does way more than pitch and field — he’s an accomplished hitter who went 2-for-2 and delivered the game-winning hit in another little league matchup last week.

Oh, and did we mention he also knows how to play the guitar and hunt? When he was 2, he rejected his prosthetic arm and has since proved he never needed it to begin with.

A couple weeks ago, Agent Provocateur debuted their latest commercial for their Margot line of lingerie from the ‘Classics’ collection. In it, a thief snatches an old lady’s purse and takes off. A bodacious bystander gives chase in a floral print dress, but has it ripped off by a chain link fence, exposing her super sexy undergarments. She eventually catches the robber after a series of cuts showing off her toned body in action, which were made greater thanks to slow motion.

Nearly every guy who watched the clip had the same comment: I’m going to become a thief. Not exactly the message AP was hoping to convey, but when you have a smoking hot girl riding you on the ground in her particulars, it’s bound to produce fuzzy logic. When you’re swinging and missing, dire situations call for dire measures.

FedEx apologized after the customer caught this video on his home security system.The box contained a computer monitor, which I’m sure did not arrive in one piece! It’s not known if the driver is still employed.
