If you need help with your heating needs, help might be on the way with the Human Development Commission's (HDC) annual "Walk For Warmth".The local walk happens on Saturday, February 22nd. registration begins at 9am and the walk begins at 9:30. The walk is about a mile through downtown Lapeer, beginning from the historic courthouse.

The walk helps raise money for low income families to pay their heating bills. The HDC served more 8,700 households in the four county region. This years goal is $20,000.
