Great News For Local Pickle Lovers

Vlasic Foods will remain in Imlay City. Pinnacle foods plans to upgrade and expand, add seasonal and full time jobs to the pickle plant.
The good news from the New Jersey-based Pinnacle Foods followed weeks of speculation and uncertainty for local Vlasic workers and management, whose jobs appeared to be in jeopardy because of corporate plans to consolidate operations.
Those consolidation plans included closing either the Imlay City plant or a second Vlasic pickle production facility in Millsboro, Delaware.
Pinnacle Foods decided to close the Delaware plant at the end of the year, leaving the Imlay City plant as the company’s flagship pickle producer.
