If you were watching the Red Wings vs Tampa Bay, you may have caught this little move.

If you're a hockey fan, you know right now is super important when it comes to hockey. We are in the Eastern Conference playoffs which means the emotions and the testosterone is at peak levels on the ice. Tampa Bay's win on Friday and Detroit's win on Sunday both ended in some pretty chippy play and even an almost bench clearing brawl on Friday.

Sunday's game did not disappoint when it came to some pretty high action play, especially when it came to the Red Wing's Abdelkader and Tampa Bay's Boyle. I'm pretty sure these guys are not best buddies to begin with. Boyle tried to get into a fight with Abdelkader, but the the Red Wings forward refused to drop his gloves because he had tape on his hands from the earlier in the week brawl and would've been suspended because of the tape.

Now of course, in hockey, refusing to 'drop gloves' makes you pretty much a coward. And of course everyone is calling out the Red Wing's Abdelkader for not 'manning up'. But seriously, in my opinion, he did the perfect thing. Tampa Bay's Boyle, I believe, was trying to bait him into a fight so Abdelkader would get suspended from very important game play. Abdelkader showed great restraint and a respect for the rules of the game even in a high emotional situation. Even after Tampa Bay's Boyle skated away do this:

Don't worry Abdelkader, you'll get him next time. Or maybe you guys can become friends and do the 'chicken dance' together? Most likely the first one.
