Keanu Reeves’ Band Dogstar Is Coming to Detroit
When people think of Keanu Reeves, most don't think of him as a bass player in a band. They think of him as the actor who played many legendary roles throughout his career.

With over 50 movies in his catalog, Keanu Reeves has solidified himself into movie history as one of the most well-known actors on the planet.
Keanu Reeves Has Engraved His Name into Big Screen History
With unforgettable roles in his early years like Jack Tavern in 'Speed,' Kevin Lomax in 'The Devil's Advocate,' or Johnathan Harker in Francis Ford Coppola's adaption of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula,' Reeves proved himself as a forced to be reckoned with on the Big Screen.
And with blockbusters like Johnny Utah from 'Point Break,' Neo from the 'Matrix' trilogy, and John Wick from the now-four-movies-deep 'John Wick' franchise, it doesn't seem like Reeves will slow down anytime soon.
Not His First Adventure with a Band
Perhaps one of Reeves' most iconic roles was that of Ted Logan in the 1989 classic 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure' in which he and Bill had the dream of being the biggest band in the history of music.
Well, almost 25 years later, Keanu Reeves is holding an instrument in his hands again. And, luckily for us Michigan folks, he's coming to Detroit.
Keanu Reeves' Band Dogstar Has Reunited and Is Coming to Detroit
Dogstar, which originally formed in the early 1990s, recently reunited for its first shows since 2002 with original guitarist and vocalist Bret Domrose, drummer Rob Mailhouse, and Reeves on bass.
The band is set to perform Dec. 8, 2023, at Detroit's Majestic Theatre. The page for the event is HERE. Hopefully he enjoys his time in the mitten and he stops at a Detroit area restaurant or two before taking the stage.
