Lapeer County Junior Places Third in National Poster Contest

Using glitter to depict pollen, Sydney Torres' illustration of bees, bats, butterflies and birds as "Hardworking Pollinators: Our Hometown Heroes" has won third place at the national level in the National Association of Conservation Districts' Annual Poster Contest. Torres is a junior at Almont High School. Her entry won first place at the local and state levels.
