For many of us, memories of Aggie Usedly date back to our childhoods. The longtime host of the Michigan Lottery's daily drawings has passed away at the age of 79.

Usedly was unofficially known as 'The Lottery Lady.' She drew the Daily 3 and Daily 4 numbers on live TV for 35 years, and hosted the 'Megabucks Giveaway' with WDIV's Chuck Gaidica for five years.

Gaidica shared a fond memory of Usedly, noting that lottery rules prohibited any edits to the broadcast.

"The day Usedly fell off the stage, she just kept going, off-camera."

In 2012, Usedly, Darryl Wood, and Beth McLeod were eliminated from the lottery's daily broadcasts, replaced by an automated, recorded voice.

”They’re just going automated now. (We’re) being replaced by a robot,” noted Usedly when she was interviewed about the change.

In an interview with the Detroit Free Press, Usedly said it was fun being the 'Detroit version of Vanna White.'

"I guess I'm a ham at heart. I don't mind being recognized, even if I don't have my makeup on. Most people are very, very nice and start telling me their lottery stories. They identify with me. I'm in their living room five or six nights a week."

No arrangements or cause of death have been reported.
