Earlier today in Davison Township, the Lapeer County sheriff was involved in a deadly vehicle accident. Sheriff Ron Kaloquin was traveling into Genesee County in his cruiser and collided with a mini-van on Davison Road.
Is it me or does there seem to be an unusually high number of motorcycle accidents lately? Regrettably we have another one to report. A three term Michigan lawmaker, Rep. Peter Pettalia was killed while riding on M-33 South in Montmorency County.
There are no words to describe how horrible and senseless these deaths are. Yesterday in Cooper Township, near Kalamazoo, five cyclists were killed by a 50-year-old man driving a pickup. Four other cyclists were injured.
Deputy Dustin Boyton escaped serious injury last week after being struck by a car while he was investigating an incident on foot. He was walking on the on the side of Maple Grove Road when a vehicle turned off of Imlay City Road and hit the deputy with the right side of the vehicle.
