Bob Dylan wasn't exactly at the peak of his career when he released 'Dylan & the Dead,' a collaborative live album with the Grateful Dead, on Feb. 6, 1989. In fact, he was pretty close to the bottom of his popularity, influence and creativity. And another live album -- his third in 10 years -- certainly didn't help matters.

So many of these songs had been shaped and defined through appearances in their legendary live sets.

A new Grateful Dead beer will be hitting the market this fall. The band worked with Dogfish Head Craft Brewery to create American Beauty, a "bold pale ale made with 100 percent U.S.-grown ingredients." But it took a suggestion from a fan to get the mix just right.

A Grateful Dead belt buckle designed with the iconic ‘Steal Your Face’ emblem sold for big money on eBay recently. Formed in the style of an Owsley ‘Bear’ Stanley belt buckle, this custom made piece managed to steal more than face; it stole someone’s money, $2,000.00 to be exact.

Former Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart is being sought by police for questioning after an alleged attack at a recent concert. TMZ reports that a warrant has been issued for Hart's arrest.

The great thing about making a solid living in music and entertainment is the ability it gives you to live near people doing the same thing. Though their styles may be different, Grateful Dead‘s Bob Weir can look down the street and occasionally catch sight of the “Red Rocker” himself, Sammy Hagar.

Nearly 40 years after the Grateful Dead used it to get out of their contract with Warner Bros. — and flout the traditions of the “greatest hits” record while they were at it — the live album ‘History of the Grateful Dead Vol. 1 (Bear’s Choice)’ is getting the vinyl reissue treatment.

Bill Kreutzmann, founding member and drummer for Grateful Dead is all set to write his story, and he has a book deal to prove it!

"Grateful Dead: The Long, Strange Trip" will open at the Cleveland museum on April 12th, right before the Hall Of Fame's annual induction ceremony.
