Can 2020 just be over already? I'd really like to get back to some concerts.

Since 2020 has been filled with nothing but disappointment, we have all had a bunch of time to think and be depressed. Seeing memories from last year pop up in my Facebook feed has shown me how much I actually go to concerts and how much I miss it. It feels like every other week I am reminded of a show I went to last year and I really want to be able to do that again.

As I have been watching these updates I also started thinking about the venues themselves. We have so many great places and venues to see concerts. Some are amazing and some are just complete garbage. I don't have an exact count but I know I have been to concerts at well over 60 different venues throughout the state and that is probably a low estimation. From tiny concert halls and bars to huge amphitheaters and arenas, I've seen a lot of them.

To enjoy a concert, you really have to be with the right people as well. One obnoxious drunk or a friend that is in a pissy mood can really ruin the night. On the other hand, a terrible venue can ruin a night just as quickly and easily as pissy friends. Of the entries below, I don't think I have ever had a bad time at them when attending a concert.

So below is my list of the top seven of my favorite Michigan venues and I'd be willing to bet that there are some great ones that I'm sure I missed for this list.
