Tracking Dogs And An Entire Community Find Asti the German Shepard

Fortunately, a local dog missing for the past two weeks was found safe yesterday in Lake Orion not very far from M-24. Social media, tracking dogs and an entire community came together over the weekend in the search for Asti, a German shepherd who escaped while under the care of Wilson Veterinary Hospital located in Washington Township. She traveled a distance of over 14 miles according to some estimates. It’s not clear exactly how Asti was allowed to escape or if the hospital’s owner John Wilson DVM has additional safeguards planned to keep animals from running away from his facility in the future.
