The rarely heard classic, 'Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters' gets a spin on today's Vinyl Vault, which is based on Elton John's lyricist Bernie Taupin's first ever visit to New York City.  He heard gun shots very close to his hotel window and put pen in hand, with great results.  Of course, back in the early 70's, there wasn't much the two did that wasn't great!  Remember the 'Honky Chateau' album?  Good stuff.  Come on by!  Out of town?  Listen live on-line.
