The first week of the NFL preseason wrapped up last night. Preseason games usually don’t matter to NFL teams, but this season several quarterbacks are either new to the league or new to their team.

While rookie quarterbacks Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III and Ryan Tannehill took their first snaps against professional competition, experienced quarterbacks Peyton Manning, Tim Tebow and Matt Flynn all had the opportunity to play with new teammates in a new offense.

Only time will tell if these quarterbacks are on the road to the Super Bowl or on a path to the bench.

By the time the NFL kicks-off its regular season on September 5, these signal-callers will have to be ready to step into the role that best helps their team win, even if that means backing-up another quarterback.
