Two well known organizations are joining together to help save lives. Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan and the American Red Cross are hosting "Give Blood. Get a Cookie" blood drives in communities across southeastern Michigan.

More than 2,000 boxes of Girl Scouts cookies will be given to donors at the special blood drives during the Girl Scout’s six week cookie sale. Girl Scout cookies will be served following donations at more than 300 drives during the "Give Blood. Get a Cookie" campaign.

In Lapeer County, blood drives are scheduled for February 18th, from 1 pm until 6:45 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Imlay City, and March 4th, at Calvary Bible Church in Lapeer from 11:30 am to 6:15 pm.
