Two well known organizations are joining together to help save lives. Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan and the American Red Cross are hosting "Give Blood. Get a Cookie" blood drives in communities across southeastern Michigan.
In 1912 on March 12, Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low from Savannah, Georgia gathered together a group of eighteen girls for the first ever Girl Scout meeting. Daisy thought that girls should have the opportunity to develop physically, mentally, and spiritually.
