Hard To Watch ‘Back-To-School Essentials’ Video Is Our Reality

An absolutely chilling PSA recently released by Sandy Hook Promise has gone viral. The video features students using school supplies to fend off and or survive a school shooting.

According to the Sandy Hook Promise website, their mission is to,

'Is to honor all victims of gun violence by turning our tragedy into a moment of transformation by providing programs and practices that protect children from gun violence.'

I am sure you remember the horrible shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December of 2012. Twenty-six people were killed, including 20 children. I am not going to lie, this video is really tough to watch, but unfortunately it is our reality. I remember having tornado and fire drills at school, now there are active shooter plans in place at schools.
