Search Warrant Issued For Courser Sex Scandal ‘Burner’ Phone

A Lapeer County magistrate issued a search warrant at the request of the Michigan State Police shortly before Todd Courser resigned. The warrant ordered all information AT&T has related to the phone number 313-421-5345. 71A District Court Magistrate Gregory Wise told the Free Press “I have no idea what AT&T will have, but they’re looking for everything.” The phone number is linked to a prepaid phone former Representative Todd Courser claims was used to blackmail him. Wise said the warrant orders information to be turned over such as who purchased the phone, what numbers were called with it, what GPS tracking information is available, what credit card information was used and the phone’s current status.
