May is finally here and it is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. Sad news from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration

Why don't we just call it for what it is - 2020 is canceled.

Someone get my motorcycle hat.

Hopefully, the driver will be in custody soon.

Known as the "Kentucky Kid," moto-racer and Owensboro, Ky., native, Nicky Hayden was placed on life support following a bicycling accident last week. We've just learned that Nicky has died.

Not only do motorcyclists have to constantly be on the look out for vehicles, now they have to be aware of flying mattresses. The struggle is real.

Is it me or does there seem to be an unusually high number of motorcycle accidents lately? Regrettably we have another one to report. A three term Michigan lawmaker, Rep. Peter Pettalia was killed while riding on M-33 South in Montmorency County.

The accident happened at roughly 2:30am this morning at North McKinley Road and West Carpenter Road in Flushing. The people involved sustained minor injuries.

Josh Irwin is one lucky guy! The Bay City resident was going approximately 40 miles an hour on a motorcycle when a deer ran out in front of him. Irwin did hit the deer and walked away with a broken arm (could have been much worse). Surprisingly enough the deer was okay too. You can see it all, because Josh captured the incident on his GoPro!

When watching this dash-cam footage you'll be left wondering 'How the hell did he survive?' ...after the shock of what happened sets in.

Last Tuesday, police arrested a 33 year-old Lapeer man and expect to charge him with reckless driving, fleeing and eluding, and possibly drunk driving, after he took police on a high speed chase from Attica Township to Lapeer at speeds of 120 mph on his motorcycle.
