Last night, the Detroit Tigers showed the offensive power expected all season long.  The Tigers pounded the Chicago White Sox, 9 – 3 at Comerica Park.  The Tigers also benefitted from a strong starting effort from ace Justin Verlander.  Verlander moved into the 1000 punch out club with his eighth strikeout of the game - against his final batter before he left after seven innings.  Ryan Raburn provided the big power by hitting a two-run homer for the Tigers.  Max Scherzer takes the mound today in an afternoon rematch.
