
Tigers Beat Yankees, Even Up Series One Win a Piece
The Detroit Tigers evened up their playoff series matchup with the New York Yankees yesterday afternoon with a 5 – 3 win in the Bronx. Max Scherzer picked up the win. Miguel Cabrera provided the big stick for Detroit with a 2 run bomb in the first inning. Scherzer pitched one hit ball through 6 innings before surrendering to the bull pen. The series moves to Detroit tonight with Justin Verlander and C.C. Sabathia squaring off again. First pitch at 8:37p. GO TIGERS!
